Passengers travelling in trains under the North Eastern Railway (NER) Lucknow Division will now know which personnel to approach for different services. This will be possible because all on-board services on these trains will soon be colour coded.

NER officials have announced that personnel wearing orange jackets on Lucknow Division trains will provide bed rolls while the ones in blue jackets will oversee on-board housekeeping. Furthermore, staff in green jackets will supervise all personnel on board and ensure overall cleanliness.

Colour coded services have already started in some trains

This initiative to colour code on-board services on NER Lucknow Division trains has been started as a pilot project in some trains. As of now, the said project has been started on Raptisagar Express (12511), Kushinagar Express (22537), and Pushpak Express (12533).

If the initiative is found to be effective in the above-mentioned trains, it will be gradually started in more and more trains in the Lucknow Division. For instance, Chhapra Express (15054) is already on the list and might get colour coded services in the coming weeks.
