After witnessing a decline in COVID cases across Uttar Pradesh, the administration has finally revoked all the relaxations in the pandemic-mandated restrictions in Lucknow, Kanpur and other UP districts. As per the order released by the Additional Cheif Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi on Thursday, swimming pools and water parks can now work at their pre-pandemic capacity. Notably, this ease in COVID guidelines will come into effect across the state, starting today.

COVID protocols to be followed by all

In an attempt to offer a smooth transition to the normal routine, the state administration has done away with all the restrictions. Notably, gyms, swimming pools and water parks were shut down in the state due to the insurgence of the third wave of coronavirus in January. According to the order, all Anganwadi centres in UP will also resume their usual operations now.

With the final unlock, people can now organise wedding ceremonies or other functions without any restriction on the number of attendees. However, the general COIVD protocols like wearing masks, social distancing and sanitisation still need to be followed in public places across the state.
