Dial 1533 to report sewer blocks, garbage woes & other civic issues in Lucknow

To bolster the civic hygiene and wellbeing, the Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Ministry launched a special tele-support for the benefit of citizens of the state, on Wednesday. People who regularly face issues of garbage littering, sewer lines flooding or issues related to drinking water in their area can now seek help from officials via the new civic helpline number 1533 and get rapid response and solution to their woes. The state-wide emergency assistance aims to create a forum of municipal bodies for a Throbust management system, read reports.

For civic solutions in record time 

Civic helpline number 1533 has been pegged instrumental in connecting an integrate channel of public assistance, to ensure real-time help. Any call or complaint registered here shall be directly patched to concerned local bodies to ensure a solution in record-time. Special task force and tele-commnicators will be roped in by the Urban Ministry to run the programme without any hiccups.

Reportedly, a tally of all the assistance, support and solutions provided under the helm of the new helpline will be recorded on the Sambhav portal of the state. The Urban Development Minister will directly review this database to check the progress of the mission.

Earlier on April 4, the Urban Development Minister had also launched the Dedicated Command and Control Control Center (DCCC) in the Directorate of Local Bodies for the redressal of complaints related to the civic body. For this, a toll free number, 18001800101, was generated to resolve public complaints.
