Lucknow University signs MoC with Kazakh University; student exchange, internships and more in plan

Ever since LU has secured the A++ NAAC rating, it has been receiving proposals for cooperation from global universities.

Cashing in on its recent enhancement with the A++ grade by NAAC along with a 80 spot jump in NIRF rankings 2023, Lucknow University has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Kazakh University of Technology and Business in Astana. LU will now cooperate with Kazakh University in a number of fields now.

Both Universities have agreed on joint activities like student exchange, internship

With the newly-signed memorandum of cooperation (MoC), Lucknow University and Kazakhstan University will develop their partnership in the fields of IT, accounting and finance, chemical industries, tourism, design, ecology, environment, and more.

As per the MoC, both universities have agreed for a slew of joint activities such as students and undergrads exchange, staff and expert teaching, science internships for the undergrads, among other collaborations.

Talks underway for more such MoUs

Speaking to Knocksense, Prof. Poonam Tandon, Dean of Student Welfare at Lucknow University, also said that talks are underway with several other global universities for similar cooperation agreements. These include Brazil's Sao Paulo University along with universities in Spain and Nepal.

As for the MoC with Kazakh University, 2 students from the latter will arrive in Lucknow each year as part of the student exchange while LU students will get the opportunity to do international internships.
