Passing through Unnao, this six-lane expressway project is expected to be functional by December 2023.

Aimed to work as the backbone of Lucknow and Kanpur nodes of UP defence corridor, the expressway connecting these two cities will act as an economic corridor as well, said the Union Defense Minister in the event. A boon for the people of Lucknow and Kanpur, this expressway will lead to an easier and smoother journey between the two cities.

NHAI to use 3D AMG tech for the first time ever

Notably, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will build the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway by using 3D Automated Machine Guidance technology for the first time ever. As per the experts, while offering progress updates live, the 3D AMG technology will speed up the entire construction process of this e-way twofold.

According to officials, while some private construction firms have used this technology before, the NHAI is deploying it for the first time, to evaluate the system in the highway sector. This attempt will help the government body in understanding the practical implementation of 3D AMG thereby accelerating future highway projects in the country.
