If your October plans currently involve the same café, the same dinner spot and the same “let’s see what happens” group chat, Lucknow's Phoenix Palassio has a better idea.

On October 9, 500 drones will take over the sky above Phoenix Palassio, making it India’s biggest and first-ever drone show by a mall. The spectacle by BotLab Dynamics will bring hundreds of drones together in sync, creating mesmerising patterns and formations that might just make you forget whatever was happening on your phone.

Now for the part where you stop being someone holding a phone above a stranger's head. Palassio is giving 25 winners access to the VIP enclosure, which is a polite way of saying a clear view and some elbow room.

To enter, repost the contest post and comment what you love about Phoenix Palassio. Say something real. "The parking" is honest, but you're up against people who will mention the dessert counter.

Most people will watch this the way they watch everything now, one eye on the sky and one on their screen. The enclosure at least gives you a reason to put the phone down.

So, keep October 9 free, call your people and head to Phoenix Palassio for an evening that’s a little different from the usual. Bring your phone, find a good spot and get ready to watch 500 drones light up the Lucknow sky. Save the date, tag your crew and make a plan, because this is one evening you’ll want to see in person, not through someone else’s Instagram story.
