Lucknow residents can soon enjoy direct flights to Jharsuguda, Odisha, with Air India Express launching a new service from Amausi Airport starting February 1, 2025. The flight will operate three days a week—Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday—offering a convenient 1 hour 20-minute journey. This new service complements Air India Express’s expansion plans, linking Bhubaneswar to several cities, including Jaipur, Kochi and Patna.

The flight from Jharsuguda will depart at 5:35 PM, landing in Lucknow at 6:55 PM, with the return flight leaving Lucknow at 7:25 PM and reaching Jharsuguda at 8:45 PM. Bookings are now open on the website, with fares starting at ₹5,999. Passengers can choose from regular, comfort, and flexi seating options in economy class.

Jharsuguda is also known as the "Powerhouse of Odisha", due to its status as an industrial hub. Due to its diverse demography, language, and culture, the city has often been referred to as "Little India" as well.
