Handmade jewellery, Gujarat fashion & more: Swadeshi Carnival kicks off at Hazratganj Metro Station

Amidst the monotonous daily commute, Lucknowites travelling via the metro are in for a refreshing sight at the Hazratganj metro station. That's because Lucknow Metro's 3-day 'Swadeshi Carnival' kicked off at the station today, i.e. September 25.

For the next three days, lovers of handmade art and craft in the city will be able to shop at 19 stalls lined up on the metro station's concourse. Here's what all this unique carnival will feature:

Artwork, Confectionary, Gujarati fashion & more

The carnival is aimed at promoting small-scale businesses and providing them a conducive platform to showcase their innovation and creativity. Sellers at Hazratganj Metro's Swadeshi Carnival have pounced at this glorious opportunity, exhibiting a diverse range of products.

These include mushroom-based chocolates and snacks among other homemade confectionary. There will be handmade jewellery on offer, like earrings, pendants, nose rings and so on. In addition to that, visitors can also get their hands on some creative Gujarati embroideries as well.

For décor purposes, the carnival also boasts an extensive collection of paintings, sketches and more. And guess what? There are anime novels like Itachi's Story on sale, as well!
