Bringing in a welcoming respite from the scorching heatwave, the weather in Lucknow took a pleasant turn on Monday morning. With skies turning grey in the middle of the day, excessive rainfall in Lucknow has brought a drastic change in the weather!

As per the forecast by the state meteorological department, the nimbus cover will sustain over Lucknow for the next 24 hours, after which the sun will shine through.

Advisory issued for citizens

The downpour had a significant impact on the temperature, lowering the mercury down to 25°C. In addition to this, the rainfall also improved the air quality index of the city to a 'satisfactory' level at 97.

However, the Capital city experienced a heavy dust storm before the rain poured in. With strong winds at 18 Kph, the city noted poor visibility and the falling of branches of trees at multiple spots in the city.

Citizens are advised to keep a watch on the weather changes and be prepared to move to a safer place accordingly.
