In view of the upcoming G20 meetings in Lucknow, work in the city has been going on in full force and is now picking up speed as the date of the meetings come closer. From wall paintings depicting India's rich diversity and an intersection adorned with majestic winged-horses to the coolest wall of stamps and an artsy statue of the Buddha, the capital city is getting a massive makeover.

Step out for a ride in and around Lohia Path, right up to the Chief Minister's Residence, and you'll find men with paint brushes at work, painting Lucknow in vibrant new colors.

Walls on the side of the Gomti Nagar Extension Bypass Road have been masterfully painted to depict the rich cultural diversity of India. Take a slow ride with your camera on and you'll find Madhya Pradesh's "Matki Dance", Punjab's "Bhangra" and Kerala's "Kuttiyatam" among other shoutouts to India's heritage.

You'll also find this beautifully crafted Crocodile made up of green rings on a divider on the road leading up to the Samta Mulak intersection. Also, you can get too close to this one, this art-piece is no predator.

If you're someone who hasn't stepped out for a leisurely drive in the last few weeks, head out now cuz you're in for a surprise. From a new Buddha statue to a crocodile waiting to snap at you near Fun Republic Mall (again, we're kidding, that crocodile is no predator), the new Lucknow looks ready to host a meeting of delegates from across the globe.
