Inauguration ceremony of Lucknow's Khurram Nagar flyover on Friday; Check traffic diversions

Traffic restrictions will be in effect on Sitapur Road starting at 12 pm on Friday.

Lucknow's Khurram Nagar Flyover, connecting Indira Nagar’s Sector 25 to Tedhi Puliya (near Jagrani Hospital), has recently been opened for public use following the completion of its construction. The official inauguration ceremony is set to take place today at the Mini Stadium in Vikas Nagar, in the presence of India's Defence Minister, the Union Road Transport Minister, and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

In light of the event, traffic restrictions will be placed on the route between Munshi Puliya and Engineering College crossing. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Here's a list of traffic diversions

Traffic that previously congested Khurram Nagar crossing before the flyover's construction.
  • Vehicles will not be allowed towards Jagrani Tiraha, Khurram Nagar crossing, Kalyan Apartment Tiraha, Sector-25 crossing or Munshi Puliya crossing. Instead, commuters can take the route via Mama crossing and Vikas Nagar Tiraha.

  • No vehicle movement will be permitted towards Kalyan Apartment Tiraha, Khurram Nagar crossing, Jagrani Tiraha or Tedhi Puliya crossing. Instead, vehicles can take the Shalimar crossing, Lekhraj Tiraha and Badshah Nagar crossing route.

  • Traffic will be restricted towards Kalyan Apartment Tiraha. Commuters should use the Rahim Nagar crossing and Vikas Nagar Tiraha as alternative routes.

  • No vehicle movement will be allowed towards Khurram Nagar crossing. Traffic should be diverted via Mama crossing or Rahim Nagar crossing.

  • Vehicles will not be permitted towards Tedhi Puliya crossing, Jagrani Tiraha, Khurram Nagar crossing, Kalyan Apartment Tiraha, Sector-25 crossing or Munshi Puliya crossing. Instead, motorists should use Bhithauli Railway crossing, Bhithauli Tiraha or Madiyaon road.
