In a bid to bolster road connectivity in UP, the state has decided to accelerate the Ganga Expressway project. Pegged to be the second-longest corridor in India, this 594-km-long stretch will function as an east-west corridor in Uttar Pradesh, connecting about 12 districts in its wake.

The construction of this ambitious project is set to find groundwork in September this year, as the government has already acquired more than 80% of the required land. The project is budgeted at over ₹36,000 crores and is expected to commission operations within the next 26 months.
