Lucknow Super Giants are all set to kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. The game, which will be held at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor stadium, is a day game beginning at 3:30 PM. Bot teams have a few injuries to deal with while also having to undergo some vital changes in the batting order.
It is noteworthy that the Royals and Super Giants engaged in a trade, where left hand batsman Devdutt Paddikal left RR and went to LSG in return of quicky Avesh Khan moving from LSG to RR. Both these players are expected to make their debuts in the first game in their new IPL teams.
As for the injuries, Rajasthan Royals are having to deal with the injury to Prasidh Krishna while Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa has opted out of the tournament. For Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul will, in all likelihood, be seen in a new role, batting in the middle order.
Apart from these tweaks, both teams have retained their core and are expected to field similar line-ups to the last season.
