Knocksense Shorts | Age of retirement of UP government doctors increased from 62 to 65

The State has taken this decision to meet the shortage of doctors in Uttar Pradesh.

Doctors working in UP government institutions can now remain in service for three more years. This comes after a directive stating that the age of retirement for Government doctors has been increased to 65 from 62. The State has taken the aforementioned decision to combat the shortage of doctors.

Moreover, services of retired doctors will be availed by relaxing some rules. To meet the shortage, Uttar Pradesh government will fill the vacant posts of doctors. A special policy, to overcome the shortage of specialist doctors, will also be prepared and implemented.
