With a special focus on mobility and transport, all 8 UP districts under UPSCR (Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region) will be connected to one another via metro lines and expressways. Furthermore, to oversee connectivity and other aspects of UPSCR, a development body will soon be set up, which will be much like the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

It must be noted that the 8 districts that will form the Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region will include Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Unnao, Raebareli, and Kanpur Dehat. Once formed, UPSCR has been predicted to cover a population of 3 crore people, spreading across 34,000 sq km.
