Owing to the recent fare hike which was implemented for all the intercity buses of Uttar Pradesh, commuting from all the bus depots of Ghaziabad via UPSRTC buses will also cost more than usual. Reportedly, travel cost from Ghaziabad's Kaushambi depot to Lucknow through ordinary/non-AC bus has been increased by ₹125 and will cost ₹802 against ₹675 earlier.

Notably, the bus fares have been increased after a duration of 3 years considering the increase in the fuel prices. Furthermore, the Ghaziabad region of UP serves as a major commuting destination for the commuters of both UP and Delhi NCR regions.

Consisting of six major bus depots i.e. Kaushambi, Bus Adda, Sahibabad, Loni, Sikandarabad and Bulandshahr, the city witnesses a daily footfall of about 50,000 passengers.
