Knocksense Shorts | District hospitals in UP to get Integrated Public Health Laboratory

These laboratories will save the patients time and money that they would otherwise spend at private labs.

Aditya Vikram

In a bid to improve health infrastructure across the state, all 75 UP district hospitals will get their own Integrated Public Health Laboratory. Each of these labs will have a pathology doctor, a chemist, a microbiologist, and a lab technician.

These new health laboratories will have the capability to conduct up to 150 different tests. Once they're operational, patients across the state will not have to spend extra time and money to get their tests done in private labs.

Furthermore, these labs will be well-equipped to conduct a slew of microbiology tests, including virology, protistology, micrology, bacteriology, immunology, and parasitology.
