The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to operate electric buses during Maha Kumbh 2025 and is planning to add a minimum of 500 e-buses to its fleet for the same. To meet the expected demand during the mega event, UPSRTC will buy some buses while some will be hired on contract from private players.

Each of the electric buses plying during Maha Kumbh 2025 will have 51 seats along with emergency services like panic buttons. Furthermore, all these buses will be connected to the integrated command control center for seamless tracking and cooperation.
