Travelers coming from Lucknow's Mari Mata Temple to Shaheed Path will soon get some relief. The Public Works Department (PWD) has decided to construct a 1km long, four-lane bridge and widen the road behind the Mari Mata Temple, located on the Lucknow-Sultanpur highway. This bridge will also clear the path for VIP movement on approach to the Shaheed Path.

According to the PWD, a project with the cost of Rs. 10 crores has been approved by the Government. This involves shifting the lines of electric poles, trees, and water bodies that are around the area.

Reportedly, the road behind the Temple, coming from the Arjunganj area to Shaheed Path, will be around 1,720 meters long. PWD Executive Engineer, Manish Verma, said that the total cost of the project would be Rs. 19 crore, which includes Rs. 12.29 crore for the bridge's construction and Rs. 7.03 crore for the army land.
