Knocksense Shorts | IIT Gandhinagar experts to train UP government school teachers in STEM subjects

Uttar Pradesh government school teachers of classes 6-8 will soon be trained in major STEM subjects by IIT Gandhinagar experts. The State aims at making its teachers proficient in subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The overall objective is to boost the level of education in the state. Moreover, it is crucial that school teachers are qualified and well-acquainted with their subjects in order to further educate children in the right manner. Master trainers of Gujarat's Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar will be roped in for taking some 80 online sessions for the same.

The scheme entails one session per week, that'll take place on Thursdays, and will see the participation of science and mathematics teachers of upper primary schools of UP. The first of these sessions will take place on July 20.
