Marking a milestone moment for gender equality in the Central Forces, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has appointed women officers to handle its dog squads. These three Police officers, Kalpanaben Manubhai, Neha Sonkar, and Anchal Rani are now posted in the 42nd battalion in Nanpara of Bahraich District.

It is noteworthy that this is the first time in Uttar Pradesh that any force has appointed women to handle dog squads. To take up this position, the three cops also underwent a rigorous training of six months before being posted to their battalion.
