Lucknow airport is on high alert ahead of Independence Day and visitors entry has been stopped till August 20, 2023. This step has been taken based on the instructions given by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

Furthermore, Lucknow airport authorities have taken a slew of other security measures, as well. These include vehicles being checked even before they buy a parking token and CISF troops being deployed at vital checkpoints at the airport.

In addition to that, bomb disposal squad with sniffing dogs have also been deployed to patrol the outskirts of the CCSI airport.
