Metro services will be operational on Diwali. UPMRC is has organized a carnival for commuters at the Hazratganj Metro Station for the occasion.

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) recently announced that Lucknow Metro would operate between 6 AM to 7 PM on the occasion of Diwali i.e. on October 24.

The metro trains will be functional from both Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport and Munshi Puliya Metro Station at 6:00 in the morning, and the last train will depart from both the aforementioned stations at 7:00 in the evening on the day of Diwali. The trains will ply their usual routes. This will likely ease traffic woes and offer commuters a convenient mode of travel.

Furthermore, UPMRC is also organizing a special festive carnival for the commuters during the auspicious occasion of Diwali which kicked off at the Hazratganj Metro Station and will continue till October 23.

Reportedly, various stalls of different categories including bakery products, dry fruits, chocolates, handicraft items, toys, gift items, agro-based products, property and real estate, Gram Udyog and many more have been set up for this Diwali carnival.
