Energy demand has been increasing steadily along with the rise in commercial activity and development of Uttar Pradesh. In view of the same and to successfully accomplish Government of India’s targets for renewable energy, Lucknow University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Institute of New and Renewable Energy, Lucknow, on May 16, 2023. 

Since the inception, UPNEDA has been growing as one of the pioneering educational centres to promote education and research in the emerging field of renewable energy. 

Through this partnership, they plan to jointly accelerate research and development in the renewable sector, skill development and promote renewable-based adaptation by the population.
