Lucknow’s Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden will remain closed on March 13 and 14 in observance of Holika Dahan and Holi celebrations, as per an official notification released by the zoo authorities.

In addition, strict restrictions have been imposed on bringing any kind of colours into the zoo after Holi. Visitors, who are routinely checked at the entrance, will face fines if found carrying gulaal or any other colours. This precautionary measure aims to safeguard the animals from potential health hazards associated with such substances.

The Lucknow Zoo authorities also anticipate a surge in visitor numbers over the weekend, on March 15 and 16, following the Holi festivities.
