Christmas in Lucknow was celebrated with large crowds visiting the city's popular spots. The Hazratganj area, including the Cathedral, saw a lively turnout, while the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden experienced a significant influx of visitors. On Christmas, 12,000 tourists, including school children, locals and visitors from neighbouring areas, visited Lucknow Zoo.

Visitors enjoyed the wildlife safari, the revamped kiddy train, and the UP State Museum inside the zoo. Along with this, a special Christmas celebration was organized for the children, with Santa Claus distributing gifts and goodies to them.

Prior to this, a thorough inspection of the zoo's facilities was carried out to ensure a smooth experience for all. Moreover, the zoo authorities are now preparing for similar footfall around New Year.
