In a bid to bolster road safety measures, the Uttar Pradesh government has recently implemented rigorous measures targeting its own employees. As part of this campaign, government employees commuting to work on two-wheelers will face strict consequences if they fail to wear a helmet.

Specifically, if an employee arrives at their department without a helmet for the second time, they will be denied entry and marked as absent for the day.

The move will be a part of the comprehensive statewide road safety campaign scheduled to take place from July 17 to 31. The primary objective of this campaign is to effectively diminish the occurrence of road accidents and subsequently decrease the loss of lives by fostering a greater understanding and adherence to traffic regulations among the general public in the state.
