Knocksense Shorts | Reading campaign to kick off in Lucknow, Kanpur & 75 UP districts

In a bid to promote reading habit among children of the state, the Uttar Pradesh government will flag off a 45-day reading campaign from November 01. The campaign is aimed at improving the learning levels of the students by promoting enjoyable reading, and ensuring the availability of age-appropriate books in the local/mother tongue or regional language.

The department of basic education has directed education officers in 75 districts in UP, including Lucknow and Kanpur regarding the campaign. Furthermore, the officials have also been instructed by the department for the arrangement of learning materials, which includes activity calendars and infographics to cultivate reading habits among children.
