In view of the dense fog engulfing the region, school timings across Uttar Pradesh have been rescheduled while schools will remain closed in some cities. School timings in Ghaziabad for all schools have now been changed to 10 AM to 3 PM and the same has been announced for schools in Mathura.

Furthermore, the UP government has also announced winter vacations for the state from December 31 to January 14, 2024. In addition to that, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the dense fog to continue over the state till Friday, December 29.
