In view of the spike in Covid cases in UP, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued fresh Covid guidelines.

Here are the highlights from the new UP covid guidelines:

• Those complaining of cough, cold and fever have been advised to get a Covid test done within 24 hours of showing symptoms.

• Integrated Covid Command Centers (ICCC) in all UP districts have been directed to stay active and on alert.

• Health officials must encourage citizens to follow all necessary covid protocols like wearing masks and maintain social distancing in public places.

• Airports in the state must follow all screening protocols as stipulated by the central government.

• All Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) in the state shall be briefed about the fresh covid guidelines and put on alert.
