Following in the footsteps of Kanpur's Green Park and Lucknow's Ekana stadium, UP will get another world-class cricket stadium. According to a statement by the state government, the proposed International Cricket Stadium in UP, which will be built in Varanasi at a cost of ₹350 crore, is expected to be completed by 2024 end.

The new cricket stadium in Varanasi, which will have a capacity of 30,000 people, will be managed and operated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It is noteworthy that the land on which the new stadium will be built has already being handed over to the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA).
