In a bid to better accommodate patients visiting the OPD for walk-in checkups, KGMU has increased the offline appointment slots by 50.

Previously, the appointment system at KGMU's OPD consisted of 250 slots that patients had to book online, with an additional 50 slots available for walk-ins daily.

Reportedly, a number of patients from rural areas or those without access to digital devices have faced challenges in booking online appointments. To address this issue, the hospital has increased the total walk-in slots to 100, while the number of online patient slots still remains the same i.e. 250.
