Kudos to UP Police: No incident of moral policing reported in Lucknow on Valentine’s Day!

Knocksense Staff

On Wednesday, when Lucknowites were celebrating Valentine’s Day, Uttar Pradesh Police, Anti-Romeo Squad and 1090 Women Powerline were on an alert to check hooliganism by groups or individuals.

A police force was deployed outside parks and malls to maintain vigil on extremist groups in the city. Kudos to UP Police, no incident of moral policing was reported in Lucknow.

Taking precautionary measures, SSP Deepak Kumar had earlier announced that UP Police will maintain vigil at public places. He had also said that 1090 Women Powerline will be used to solve emergency complaints.

Many cafes and restaurants in the city remained full on Wednesday.

Generally, February 14th also becomes a day of obscenity, which triggers moral policing. However, when our team visited different parks and malls in Lucknow, we saw people enjoying the day without indulging in any sort of mischief.
