After months of deliberation, the Army has finally allotted land to the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) for the construction of Phase 3 of the Green Corridor project. As part of the project, now LDA can begin the construction of an embankment and a 4-lane road between Pipraghat and Shaheed Path.

Construction of this road will not only remove waterlogging concerns on the defense land but also offer enhanced connectivity with Lucknow airport to defence officials and residents living in the cantonment area.

Army has allotted the land on THESE conditions:

  • A minimum of 3 underpasses shall be built on the embankment and the 4-lane road to enable smooth movement within the cantonment area.

  • No soil shall be dug from defense land for the construction of the embankment.

  • LDA must also take optimum security measures during the construction to stop any infiltration or encroachment into the defense land.

  • Smooth connectivity between the Green Corridor and Dilkusha shall be provided for defense officials residing within the area.
