Plans are underway to light up the dark roads in Lucknow by Diwali 2024. The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has decided to install 25 streetlights in each ward of the city. This is an attempt to improve the city's lighting infrastructure and ensure safety and security for the residents.

The decision was taken during the first day of the LMC house proceedings, which was held on Friday. The plan is to complete the installation of these streetlights across the city before Diwali 2024.

Notably, some stretches in Lucknow that currently do not have sufficient lighting include the Bandha Road, which connects Indira Nagar and Gomti Nagar and areas like Gomti Nagar's Vastu Khand, among others. With the installation of streetlights across the city now on LMC's agenda, this problem might just be solved come this festival of lights.
