LSG vs MI showdown at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium on Apr 4! Check out pitch report & traffic updates

Given the stadium’s relatively slow surface and large boundaries, average scores typically range between 150-170.

Lucknow is set for a high-stakes IPL clash as the LSG squad will take on five-time champions Mumbai Indians at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium. This marks the second IPL match of the season in Lucknow, with play set to begin at 7:30 pm.

Pitch Report:

Ekana’s pitch has delivered several gripping encounters, offering early swing and bounce for pacers, making the opening overs challenging for batters. However, once settled, batters can take advantage of the conditions to accelerate. Spinners are expected to come into play during the middle overs. Given the stadium’s relatively slow surface and large boundaries, average scores typically range between 150-170.

Traffic advisory for city vehicles and match attendees

Like the previous match (LSG vs PBKS), the city will observe crucial traffic restrictions on most of the routes connected to Shaheed Path. For this, the Lucknow Traffic Police have released a comprehensive advisory for traffic movement:

  • Vehicles coming from Kamta-Shaheed Path Trisection on Ayodhya Road will be diverted through Kamta, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Samatamulak Chowk, Lalbatti Intersection, Cariappa Intersection, Telibagh, Barabirwa or Indira Nahar Intersection via Kisan Path instead of Shaheed Path, Sultanpur Road, Raebareli Road or Kanpur Road.

  • Vehicles from Shaheed Path-Kanpur Road Trisection will be rerouted via Barabirwa Intersection, Bangla Bazaar, Telibagh, Cariappa Intersection, Lalbatti Intersection, 1090 Intersection or via Kisan Path instead of Shaheed Path, Sultanpur Road, Raebareli Road or Ayodhya Road.

  • Traffic from the Husadiya Underpass will be redirected through 1090 Intersection instead of Ahimamau or Shaheed Path-Kanpur Road stretch.

  • Vehicles coming from Sultanpur Road will be diverted from Amul Dairy to Lulu Mall and will then move towards Shaheed Path instead of Ahimamau intersection.

  • Traffic from Sultanpur Road via HCL Trisection or Phoenix Palassio will turn right at Ahimamau intersection instead of heading towards the Police Headquarters.

  • Vehicles from Ahimamau will be redirected via HCL Trisection and Overhead Gol Chakkar instead of passing through the Phoenix Palassio Mall.

  • Large vehicles from Sultanpur and nearby routes will be rerouted via Kabirpur Trisection and Kisan Path, avoiding Ahimamau and Sultanpur Road.

  • Similarly, heavy vehicles from Gosainganj Kasba on Sultanpur Road will be diverted via Amul Dairy towards Vrindavan Yojna or Kabirpur-Kisan Path route instead of Ahimamau.

If you are someone who is attending the match today, the guidelines state reaching at least 3 hours prior to the match start (which means you need to be on the way already to avoid rush). Here's more about the parking plan:
