So as the days edge towards colder times, we know that the season of festivals is approaching. This means that it is that time of the year when we can all hop on to the biggest celebration in the city- The Lucknow Mahotsav!

This annual extravaganza is something that the people of Lucknow wait for, all year long and it is undisputedly the biggest event of the city.

Global exhibitions, no plastic & more

While the Lucknow Mahotsav is one of the most-frequented celebrations that happen in the city, this year the authorities have decided to take the event to a global scale.

This year will see exhibitions from artists of the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) nations and would also include the art from countries such as Yemen, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia and various other countries from around the world.

This year’s Mahotsav will be organised at the Manyawar Kanshiram Ji Smarak Sthal.

According to reports, this year’s theme would be decided after taking inputs from common folk, authorities and civic officers. Not just that; apart from the Bollywood and celebrity performances, the multi-day extravaganza will also have an IIM and KGMU alumni meet. How cool is that!

Also, carrying the baton of fighting against plastic, this year's Mahotsav will be a no-plastic zone. Which means, if you want to shop, which you will, and you don't want to pay extra for the paper and jute bags, which you'll have to, make sure to carry your own bags to the venue.
