Lucknow Metro commuters can now say goodbye to expensive last-mile rides. In a move to make journeys seamless, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has partnered with Uber to offer discounts of up to 50% (max ₹20) on Uber Moto rides, from all 21 city metro stations.
The facility, launched at Hazratganj Metro Station in the presence of UPMRC MD Sushil Kumar and Uber’s North India Operations Manager Madhulika Singh Gaur, will also include mobile charging points at stations for passenger convenience.
Every day, around 80,000–90,000 people use Lucknow Metro, with heavy rush at stations like Hazratganj, Charbagh, Alambagh, and Krishnanagar. The new tie-up is expected to cut waiting times, reduce travel costs, and make last-mile connectivity smoother.
Lucknow Metro already offers discounts in collaboration with Rapido, while Kanpur Metro has services from Rapido, Azigo, and Pink rides. Officials said similar partnerships with more start-ups will follow soon, giving passengers wider, cheaper, and greener travel options.
