The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has set up a special cell for economic offences, which will focus on corruption, fraud, forgery, counterfeiting, and similar cases. This new Lucknow Police cell will exclusively take over cases with ₹50 lakh or above in dispute.

As for the staff, the Specialised Economic Offences Cell will have 10 officers, including 2 inspectors and 8 sub-inspectors. The officers chosen for the team are all tech-savvy while also having substantial experience with financial fraud cases.
