Lucknow Police take proactive approach to COVID protocol enforcement with foot patrols

With COVID-19 on the rise yet again, Lucknow Police has been putting in efforts to make the public acquainted with protocols. As 2023 brings with it New Year celebrations, there's a high possibility of community gatherings which could turn out to be dangerous, keeping in mind the aggravating COVID cases throughout the globe.

In an overall view of crime control, maintaining law and order, strengthening peace and security, police personnel patrolled on foot at significant places, roads, intersections to spread awareness. A campaign revolving around COVID protocols, keeping check on drinking and driving, was organised in the city.

Flag march in Hazratganj

A flag march was conducted in Hazratganj by police officials to encourage people to adhere to COVID norms. As a part of precautionary measures, the public has been implored to wear masks at all times.

“We are appealing to all to follow the guidelines of COVID as everyone comes out of their homes for the New Year celebrations,” DCP Central Aparna Rajat Kaushik said.

Recently, Centre-directed mock drills to check medical preparedness were conducted. In order to ensure availability of medicines, oxygen, and ventilators, the mock drills were carried out in 400 hospitals across 75 Uttar Pradesh districts.
