The Lucknow District Administration, in association with the CPCB, has come up with a targeted micro plan to implement pollution reduction activities here. Officials of the CPCB have reviewed the action taking place and made recommendations on the basis of the present-day needs.

A strategic, comprehensive and multi-departmental plan has thus been inked, to effectively reduce the risk of pollution, dirt and clutter in the city. Reportedly, the plan calls for unified action of all 17 departments of the Lucknow civic system. As such, in a meeting conducted at the municipal headquarters, the officers of the Board have suggested various departments of the administration to undertake different actions.

The primary set of actions included in this scheme, ordain the municipality to not let garbage accumulate at one place in the city. Proper waste disposal plants should be established to categorically curb this issue. Further, the clutter caused due to development, construction and road projects, is also included in this. Special disposal plants for construction debris will also be set up in Lucknow.

To limit construction pollution in Lucknow, the LDA and district housing development agency have been asked to cover the construction site before initiating a project. Agencies also have to ensure that they are not storing any construction material in open spaces. A proper plan needs to be in place before any construction plan is launched in Lucknow now, added reports.
