The University of Lucknow (LU) is all set to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) in its curriculum for the 2024-2025 academic session.

The Social Work Department of the university will offer the paper as a vocational course. Titled 'Introduction to Artificial Intelligence', it will be incorporated into the fourth semester of BA and the syllabus will revolve around the history of AI, AI-based projects, 5G, basic AI forms, its impact on society and the future possibilities and challenges linked with AI.

LU faculty to be trained for teaching a comprehensive AI curriculum

The course, which has been given a thumbs up by all LU academic bodies, will accommodate 30 seats.

For the implementation of the course, the Social Work department has partnered with a prominent American multinational corporation and tech company. This will aid in conducting specialised AI training sessions for the LU faculty. These training sessions will further equip the university's teaching staff with the expertise needed to teach a comprehensive AI curriculum.
