Lucknow University joins hands with NBFGR to increase students' academic exposure & boost research

The collab aims at aiding LU's Zoology department with the expertise of NBFGR.

The city's eminent Lucknow University (LU) has joined hands with the research institution ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resource (NBFGR) to bolster common research goals. The collab aims at aiding LU's Zoology department with the expertise of the latter.

LU recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the city-based ICAR-NBFGR, the 1983-established research organisation that is dedicated to the study of fisheries and preservation of fish genetic resources.

Boosting joint academic activities

The objective of the joint initiative is to proffer academic exposure and job opportunities to the students of Lucknow University.

"The MoU will greatly boost joint academic activities between both the institutions on the topics of common research interests," LU took to Twitter to share.

On the same, LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava highlighted the significance of associating with NBFGR that will provide support in research and innovation to the university's zoology students and help with academic extensions in their education. Moreover, the move will provide academic exposure and benefits to both the institutions.
