The brainchild of 6 Lucknow University students, 'Mission Zindagi' is an online blood donors' group that has been launched to provide immediate help to people in need of medical emergencies. The programme aims to create a database of all students and staff who donate blood regularly or are keen on donating blood to help create a virtual blood bank. Started by 6 BA (Honours) final year students, the 'Mission Zindagi' portal is easily accessible to anyone who wants to register themselves there. The link to the digital database is available on the Lucknow University website and interested donors can be a part of this noble initiative by simply filling-in their details and selecting a suitable time of donation. Besides, the group will also be accessible in case of urgent requirements. The system has been designed in a way, that the closest donor to the patient's location gets alerted for immediate help. Any resident who is in need of blood can reach out to the team members and contact them through the information available on the LU website.
