Lucknowites woke up to cloudy skies and pleasant weather on Tuesday, with cool gusts of wind bringing much-needed relief from the continuous spell of hot and humid weather conditions.

Before today, the city experienced temperatures exceeding 35°C, accompanied by high humidity levels above 75%. The absence of significant wind and the prevailing arid weather aggravated the hot and humid atmosphere in the region.

However, today the maximum temperature has dropped to 33°C. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, there is an 85% chance of rainfall in the city, likely to occur after 12 PM.
