The onset of peak winter in Lucknow now seems evident, marked by the recent recording of the season's lowest temperature at 9.8°C this past Monday, registering -0.4 degrees below the normal range. Concurrently, the maximum temperature for the day peaked at 24.7°C, accompanied by brisk gusts of cold winds throughout.

Prior to this, the city experienced a maximum temperature range of 25-26 degrees, with minimum temperatures ranging from 11-16 degrees over the past week. According to the meteorological centre, Lucknow weather is expected to become even colder during the upcoming days.
