Temperatures likely to drop by 2-3°C from Thursday.

Lucknow is set to witness a weather shift as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of strong winds, dust storms, rains, and even hailstorms over the next few days. With a western disturbance activating over North India, the capital surrounding districts may experience gusty winds, thunderstorms and sudden temperature drops starting May 1.

IMD issued a yellow alert for Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur and other central UP districts, predicting pre-monsoon showers and lightning. While Wednesday remained dry, Thursday onwards, heavy winds, and scattered rains could bring relief from the heat lowering temperatures by 2-3°C. However, humidity may rise post-noon, followed by evening thunderstorms.

Residents are advised to stay alert for sudden dust storms and avoid travel during severe weather. This turbulent spell is expected to last 3-4 days, making an unseasonal twist in Lucknow's weather.
