This weather shift is expected to offer temporary relief.

After days of stable weather with normal temperatures and breezy evenings, the onset of summer is now evident in Lucknow. Over the past few days, a gradual rise in temperature has been observed, with the maximum now hovering around 40°C.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is expected to see a high of 39°C today, while the minimum temperature will likely remain around 22°C. Humidity levels have surged to 52%, making the weather feel noticeably uncomfortable and signalling the possibility of scattered rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Meteorologists attribute the weather shift to a change in wind patterns, as northeasterly trade winds sweep across Uttar Pradesh. This shift is expected to bring mild evening and night breezes, offering temporary relief.

Looking ahead, temperatures are forecasted to rise further in the coming days, marking a definitive transition into peak summer conditions for the city.
