Marking the occasion, important dignitaries such as Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the Lucknow‘s first Population Research Centre (PRC) at the institution.

The digital population clock has been put in place under the Lucknow Smart City initiative.

Population clock shows both state and national data

Lucknow‘s very first digital population clock not only shows state population count but also national stats. At the time of it’s launch, the clock showcased Uttar Pradesh’s population count at 24,01,99,800. The increasing citizens count not only displays the power that the state brings along but also highlights a huge responsibility the government and natives have against each other.

Placed and administered under the control of Lucknow University, easy availability of data will help students in their research.
