Masks back amid as active COVID-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh rise to 575

Yet again, Coronavirus is back, and it‘s time to mask up, people. With fresh COVID-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh, the state has touched a new high of 575, the highest in a single day rise this year, stated officials on April 14. Meanwhile, Lucknow's active COVID-19 case load has reached 273, with as many as 60 cases registered on April 10.

As per official data, ever since COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, Uttar Pradesh has reported 21,32,058 cases and 23,653 deaths.

Coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh 

Active coronavirus cases has crossed the 2000 mark in Uttar Pradesh. Fresh case count of some major cities of Uttar Pradesh on April 14 is as follows:

  • Gautam Buddha Nagar - 146

  • Ghaziabad - 108

  • Lucknow - 69

  • Varanasi 10

  • Bijnor - 14

  • Bulandshahr - 14

  • Kanpur - 12

  • Jalaun - 12

  • Barabanki - 12

  • Prayagraj - 14

Capital city of Uttar Pradesh alone has 415 active cases, the highest among all districts in the state. Aishbagh in Lucknow reported 2 new cases, Alambagh 4, Chinhat 11 and Indira Nagar 13. Apart from this, a total of 44 patients recovered in Lucknow and 245 in UP on April 13.
